On Sunday, November 2 interested community members attended an information session and guided walk regarding Western Forest Products Subdivision Applications in the Juan de Fuca Electoral Area.
Maurita Prato, of the Dogwood Initiative and Ray Zimmerman, of Sea to Sea Greenbelt Society, provided updates on WFP's applications, and how concerned citizens can take action on the issue.

Naomi Devine, of Conservation Voters BC, and Vicky Husband, an independent environmentalist, commented on the importance of the upcoming civic elections and supporting candidates who will uphold the municipal bylaws limiting WFP development in the area.
After the session, the group headed down to Sand Cut Creek to enjoy one of the coastal areas potentially affected by WFP's subdivision plans.
